This explains what Kill King knows about you, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the game on Steam, the version that runs inside Discord, and this website.
The short version: we store your platform ID, your display name, and your game results. We never see your card details, your address, or your email unless you write to us. We do not sell anything about you to anyone.
Signing in through Steam or Discord tells us who you are on that platform. We store the identifier that platform gives us, your public display name, and the URL of your public avatar. That is what we get; we do not receive your email address, your friends list, your messages, or anything else from your platform account.
We record your matches so the ladder and your profile work: who played, when it started and ended, who won and how, your rating before and after, and per-unit statistics such as damage dealt and abilities used. Matches against the computer run on your own device and are not sent to us.
The store handles the payment. We receive only the answer to one question — whether your account currently owns the full version — which we re-check with the store so that a refunded purchase stops unlocking the game. We never receive or store card numbers, billing addresses, or transaction details.
Our servers keep short-lived technical logs of requests, which include your IP address, the time, and the type of device and browser. These exist to keep the service running and to spot abuse.
The in-game feedback form sends us whatever you write in it, plus basic technical context about your session so a bug report is actually actionable. If you email us we keep the correspondence. Operational alerts, including error reports, are forwarded to a private internal channel that only we can read.
The website and the browser build use PostHog to understand how people move through the game — which screens they reach, where they stop. The website also uses Vercel's privacy-friendly page analytics, and it has carried a Reddit advertising pixel used to measure the response to our own ads. The Steam build carries no advertising trackers.

We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes data on our instructions only:
We also disclose data if the law genuinely requires it. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Some of these providers operate outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your display name, avatar, and ladder rating are visible to other players on the leaderboard and to anyone you are matched against. Everything else we hold is private.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit what we do with it, hand it over in a portable format, or object to processing we base on legitimate interest. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
Write to support@phoenixtools.dev and we will answer within one month. Deleting your account removes your profile and detaches your matches from you; results already recorded against other players stay in their history in anonymised form, because they are also those players' records.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you always have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
Kill King is not aimed at young children, and you must meet the minimum age of the platform you sign in through. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will remove it.
The game stores settings and session information in your browser so it can remember your language, your options, and that you are signed in. Analytics and advertising set their own identifiers where you have allowed them. Clearing your browser data removes all of it; the game will simply start fresh.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and we will announce anything significant in the game or on the store page before it takes effect.
